Upanayanam Ceremony, also known as Sacred Thread Ceremony or Yajnopaveetam Sanskar, is one of the most important Hindu Samskaras performed mainly among Brahmins, Kshatriyas and Vaishyas. A Brahmin is traditionally known as “Dwija”, meaning “twice born”.
